A Craig’s List ad lead to so much more in 2015 when lead singer Scott Mclaughlin went looking for local players. The result was the Scotty Mac Band which quickly turned into a band with regional success and opening slots for national touring acts like Brett Young, Tyler Farr, Phil Vassar, Lee Brice and Chase Rice. Placement at festivals around the country including Night in the Country, Country Fan Fest, Oregon Jamboree, Country Thunder, Coastal Country Jam among others followed. In 2016 McLaughlin released his first EP Messin’ Around which was followed in 2018 with a sophomore album Starts With A Girl, both recorded in Nashville. The band won California Country Association’s Entertainer of the Year in 2017. Today, fans can see the band playing in Nashville at bars such as Tin Roof , Winners and Ole’Red as well as other venues throughout the West Coast. New music is always on the way.

Singer and songwriter Scott McLaughlin was raised in a small, Southern California town surrounded by dairy farms, ranches and rodeos. He spent his days listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band on the radio. His passion for country took off like a rocket after receiving his first guitar as a gift from his father at age 13. Heavily influenced by Garth Brooks’ album “In Pieces” and Fleetwood Mac’s “The Dance”, Scott began writing and perform his own music in high school. After graduating, he moved south to attend California State University Long Beach as a business major. While he worked on his degree, Scott continued to hone his music and vocal talent forming several bands and actively performing throughout Southern California. Fronting his self-titled band, The Scotty Mac Band, Scott released his first EP, Messin’ Around in 2016, and his sophomore EP called Love In A Truck in 2018, both stylistically blends the pop hooks and driving sound of contemporary country while retaining the story telling and instrumentation of the classic country roots he grew up on. His music is heavily influenced by artists like Luke Bryan, Justin Moore, Brad Paisley, and Blake Shelton.

Bryan began playing guitar at age 14, performing in various groups throughout Western New York and studying with the most elite private music instructors in the region. Bryan went on to attend the Guitar Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA where he immersed himself into a diverse range of musical styles from Classical, Blues, Big Band to Heavy Progressive Rock. He began to perform regularly in the Los Angeles music scene and started truly defining his sound with a New York based modern rock band called Velour. During his time with Velour they released 3 albums and hit #1 on regional record sales charts. Velour toured as a supporting act for such national bands as: The Goo Goo Dolls, Beck, Ours, and Everclear.

John began his love for music playing snare drum in elementary school, a full drum kit in high school and pursued his music passion by creating a 25+ year career in the music product industry. John spent his early band years playing 80’s rock on the Sunset Strip and later moved on to country and classic rock. John has spend over 30 years working in the music products industry with iconic brands such as Yamaha, D’Addario, KORG USA and Zildjian.
